Big Brother-style quiz show in which contestants locked in a house are bombarded by round-the-clock questions is coming to ITV1. The 24-Hour Quiz will see competitors enter a specially-built Quiz House in which up to £2,500 a day can be won. Nodding off could mean missing out on the chance to answer a question. Treats such as a gourmet meal will be offered to tempt them out. Outsiders will also compete to replace them in the house. The show is sure to test viewers' appetite for quiz programmes. A spokeswoman said: "It does sound mad but should be fantastic to watch. It's's all about people trying to get into the house to win the money and staying ahead of the game. "There are Big Brother elements with people locked into a house, but this is a reality quiz show and not an entertainment show." The programmes will go out on ITV1 and ITV2. It's all set to begin in the middle of next month with dozens of hopefuls being whittled down to just seven. They will go head-to-head for a place in the Quiz House in a live broadcast. Up to three contestants will be in the house throughout the seven-week series. One contestant could conceivably go all the way, scooping £122,500.
