Not surprising really. He was being linked with moves to Celtic, Birmingham, Everton etc and if you think about, Mark Hughes is probably one of the few managers not to have had a real problem with Bellamy when he managed Wales. It's a shame Bellamy is a toss pot because he's a quality player when he wants to be.

Bellamy thinks he is a great player.He is not great he good should of gone to villa his football will go very bad now

I can't recall a player in the past 20 years who has become a better player after signing for Villa. Maybe Gareth Barry at a push, but he was poached as a kid.

We're not THAT desperate

there are certain clubs which may as well be footballing cemeteries since Premiership domination began.

All those teams like Spurs, Villa and Charlton where ambition is maybe qualifying for the UEFA Cup through the fair play league or something. They may as well give up. No offence but players joining them are doing exactly that.

Imo,it's worth the dominant clubs in the prem,along with Celtic and Rangers joing a European elite league(last time I posted something similar I got a lecture..so don't all bite my head off!)
