Disagree. It's all about starting well.
Liverpool, Man United, and Arsenal all had bad starts last season. Chelsea got off to a flyer. That's what won them the league. Their season January-onwards was mixed.
They are good. But they aren't great.
What they do excel at is consistency. If teams can match that, they stand as good as chance as Chelsea of winning the title.
It's what won Arsenal and Manchester United all those titles. Play well, win. Play poorly, win.
The transfer signings and player offloads before and after the World Cup are going to be very interesting. None of the traditional big three have much to spend (compared to the Russian crook), but all three have very savvy managers, and one in particular, Wenger, is very astute in the transfer market.
However, I don't think any of them will be casting a glance over the farm hands at Kilmarnock, Hipps.
