Ferguson's son arrested

Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren was arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-wife outside the Man Utd manager's mansion.
Former United star Darren, 35, was held after a furious bust-up with Nadine Ferguson on the front drive of Sir Alex's £2million house.
Darren had been to Nadine's Manchester home where it is thought they had a domestic dispute. He then drove to see Sir Alex and his mum Cathy in the nearby suburb of Wilmslow.
Nadine, 28, a former telesales girl, followed Sir Alex's son to the mansion and knocked at the door. A heated exchange on the drive followed. It is thought Nadine called police and officers quizzed Darren. He was later released on bail.
A source close to the former couple said: "Their split has become bitter and things came to a head. They had a terrible row on the front step.
"Police came and Darren was arrested. It was terribly embarrassing for his mum and dad as it was at their house."
It is not known whether Sir Alex, 65, was home at the time of the incident on October 23.
Cheshire police would not say if he and his wife might be interviewed as witnesses but confirmed: "We were called to an address in Wilmslow after an allegation of assault. As a result, we arrested a 35-year-old man. He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries until December 6."
Just six months ago, Nadine spoke of plans to buy a new home after Darren became player-boss at Peterborough.
But within weeks the four-year marriage hit the rocks.
Two years ago rumours linked Nadine to United's Rio Ferdinand, which she denied.
The club said Rio was victim of a smear campaign.
Nadine's solicitor Graham Walker said of the October incident: "She does not wish to comment. It may be subject of criminal proceedings."
Peterborough Utd said Darren did not wish to comment.
