Utter dominance, I for one never said Ian Bell was a total waste of space who should never play for England again :D

GBH and Freddie tore through their batting order, on a pitch that gave them NO assistance (Ricky Ponting must have trouble sleeping at nights nowadays). Then the west-countrys finest flayed the Pakastanis attack, once you've played Warne, Kaneiras a mere bagatelle :D

great mornings play. There's somethign crushing about going a whole session without losing a wicket.

Use Hoggie to get us over their score in the morning, and then unleash hell in the form of KP and Sir Freddie, with Geraint grabbing a quick 50.

Reckon we could get 500+ on this wicket

Not having Sky Sports, I watched the updates on the bbc website

It's a healthy position to be in and with our now infamous lower order collapses seemingly behind us- a result is on the cards.

144 runs lead after the first innings, hopefully it's enough- dismissing the top order before before they catch up would be quite handy

A 1-0 series lead would take so much pressure off us, it's become expected of the team now and that must be very difficult for them.

Can't help but feel slightly disappointed this morning after we've let them back in it. While 418 is a decent score, 500 was easily capable and they've battled well with the bat to get within 20 runs of us with just two wickets down. Need a couple of early wickets tomorrow to swing the momentum back our way.

Anyone know how serious Pietersen's injury is? Went off about 8am this morning ish having landed nastily on his shoulder stopping a boundary and hasn't been back on since I don't think.

Aggers says it seems like minor elbow injury, hopefully he's right and it's just a bit sore.

Yup wickets needed, and quick.

And we haven't which is a relief, fully expect a difficult days play tomorrow but we should come through it.

Shocking decision from the third umpire for the runout. Awesome catch from Bell for Giles' only wicket in the innings. Had to laugh at Inzaman as well for leaving a ball pitched on middle, doesn't matter if he thought it was going to swing, ridiculous thing to do!

According to law 28 he wasn't out as the bales hadn't hit the floor or a stump removed ;)

Load of rubbish, I could clearly see (with my eyes half shut ;) ) that it was out. Awful ruling and poor decision in my view.
