Just catching bits of France vs. China. 70 minutes gone and China have equalised with a penalty!!

Djibril Cisse carried off in first half with suspected broken leg again which is a shame.

good win for Ze Germans. Can't defend for toffee and the opening ceremony had blokes in lederhosen. Maybe, we'd have had Morris Dancers if we'd held it here


Looks like with this new football, Gerard could get about 20 goals.

The goals from Lahm and Frings were absolutely top drawer efforts.

They are a shambles defensively though it has to be said.

Now this might sound like typical tabloid bravado, but I honestly believe we are going to with the World Cup.[ Now everyone is tipping Brazil, but how many of their side would get in the England team? The goofy one without a doubt, and Adriano maybe, but the rest? Don't think so.

I fully expect to see our MacPosting fraternity stringing loads of replies on here after we get tatered by Paraguay this afternoon, but we are going to win it. Anyway, given the Public Holiday that will be given by Sir Tony when we do win it, it's worth everyone cheering us on.

IMO, unconvincing (2nd half) but result states England 1 Paraguay 0.
