Costa Rica coach Jorge Luis Pinto has revealed what he said to Arjen Robben shortly before the cameras caught the pair smiling and hugging after extra time.
"I told Robben that he is one of the best players in the world and to let us win something, because he has won everything," Pinto is reported to have said in Costa Rican newspaper Al Dia.
