The first time, the England cricket team, have won 8 tests in consecutive matches, its unprecedented :D

Just like Scotland getting through to a second round of any major football competition

yeah, but crickets a sh*t little sport played by about a dozen countries, and even the vast majority of engurlanders don't give a damn about it

your new boyfriends better looking than the last one :D

Hmmm, the old

popularity = good, debate :roll:

Cricket does take a certain level of concentration and intelligence to enjoy, so i wouldn't expect the soap-opera, tabloid-reading, takeaway eating populous to get it :D

He is a dish, but he does nothing for me Hippo, but you seem quite a fan, and you don't even like cricket ;)

Shouldnt that be 'England plus a few others'?

Strauss - SA born
Thorpe - Aussie born
G Jones - Aussie born
S Jones - Welsh

Thorpe - born in Farnham in Surrey, England
Strauss - South African born, but educated in England
S Jones - Yeah everyone from Wales, scotland and Ireland, can play for England, but as no-one else cares about it, as Hippo says, we just call it "England" :D If there was a British Football team, that would probably be the split as well
G Jones - Admittedly a bit iffy, i'd rather Read played hes from Devon :D

england have a habit of knicking other countries players, half the rugby team are foreigners and a fair amount of footie players have dubious english bloodlines, and when did being educated in a country make someone english?

p.s. is your new boyfriend wearing blusher? :D

As he was born in South Africa, its probably the sun :D

Yeah lots of those peeps who have dubious English bloodlines have played for Scotland! Know nothing about rugger-buggers, can't stand the game :-?

Do you think John Mcenroe, should of played for Germany, in the Davis Cup, coz he was born in West Germany :D

davis cup is a joke, tennis is and should always be an individual sport not a nationalistic one

To be fair pops, cricket is the only sport I will follow and cheer for England, though am sure you would give up the 8 in a row to finally win back the ashes.

I most probably would swap 'em, but its still the best England team i've ever seen :D
