| Post subject: | R.I.P Georgie Best |
Today, George Best has passed away aged 59 and although I'm not old enough to fully appreciate what a player he was, I've seen loads of TV highlights tonight which have left me astounded. Please remember George Best as the genius footballer he was rather than the off field antics. This is a sports forum and therefore I believe his sporting career should be highlighted ahead of anything else. R.I.P Georgie Best.

Well said. I'm a bit late, but I completely agree. If he'd not come from Northern Ireland, and therefore unable to compete on the world stage internationally, he'd have been recognised for what he was - the most naturally gifted player ever. |
