'cept for the Dutchies, I think we'd be more than made up with getting the Yanks and the Convicts. I wish we could play Scotland in a competitive finals. Always loved those games. I miss them!

Not seen the way the seeding is based or even the full list of countries in it, but I'll go for England, Nigeria, Sweden and South Africa.

Australia and USA are the worse teams to get in their bit of the draw, Nigeria aren't in it I'm afraid, like Scotland. We may get Ivory Coast if the Sepp doesn't want any problems, agro-wise :D

Does any football fan actually think any uefa/fifa draw aren't utterly fixed though :-?

I will change my mind utterly if Germany get a tough draw, but every time the hosts get a piece-of-piss draw, think USA, France, South korea and Japan {@} {@}

heres rules and stuff

The eight unseeded European teams in Pot Two will be drawn into the eight groups. There will be a maximum of two European sides in each group. Serbia-Montenegro, the lowest-ranked Uefa-affiliated side, will play either Brazil, Argentina or Mexico.

The seven Asian and Concacaf teams in Pot Four will be drawn into groups as will the five African countries, Australia, Paraguay and Ecuador.

Once teams are drawn from Pots Two, Three and Four another draw will then occur to allocate their place in the group and decide the order of the fixtures.

Pool One:
Germany (hosts)
Brazil (champions)
Italy
France
Argentina
Spain
Mexico
England

Pool Two:
Australia
Angola
Ghana
Ivory Coast
Togo
Tunisia
Ecuador
Paraguay

Pool Three:
Croatia
Czech Republic
Netherlands
Poland
Portugal
Sweden
Switzerland
Ukraine

Pool Four:
Iran
Japan
Saudi Arabia
South Korea
Costa Rica
Trinidad & Tobago
United States

Special pot:
Serbia & Montenegro

I would put every penny I've got (not much admittedly) on England drawing the convicts, {@} {@} {@}

why's serbia & mont in a special pot?

I think they don't want any 3 european teams to be in the same group, so they will play either Brazil, Mexico or Argentina, the non-european teams in the top seeds.

Costa Rica

Had a feeling about the first three all along but though Ivory Coast might be in pot 4 so have gone for CR instead.

think tonight was the confirmation that I couldn't care less about the national side anymore. Wasn't bothered at all by the draw. Hope I start caring by the time the WC comes around.

What a draw! Us not beating Sweden for centuries is pretty irrelavant, the other two should be plain sailing...altho we do like to do it the hard way in major comps.

There's always a team that slips under the radar in the world cup, last time it was South Korea-wonder who it will be next summer?
