absolutely shattered after watching that.

Aussies 434-4 off 50 overs. World record by nearly 40 runs.

S'Africa 438-9 off 49.5 overs.

Greatest 1 day game ever. Like 1 big 20-20 match.

Ponting Out!

couldn't believe Ponting stuck with Lewis when he had overs in hand from Symonds and Lee. Lewis was like a poor man's Gillespie and we know how bad the caravan dweller is. It was Ponting's decision to keep Lewis on which lost them the game.

Ponting really is a useless captain, Warne seemed to make most of the decisions in the Ashes. Great players don't neccesarily make great leaders.

Still it was a great match, and the point you make about them playing it like a 20/twenty is interesting. Teams getting 200 plus in the twenty overs game has made people realise you can keep that rate going for a longer time.

Who knows on good batting pitches this type of scoring may not be unique in the future :D
