Its a great squad. Sven has actually made a bold move by putting Lennon, Walcott and Downing in. This shows that he is going to try and go out with a bang. Still, lets hope Rooney and Owen are fit enough. |

The only changes I would make are Parker > Hargreaves and Beattie > Walcott. |

Disagree with both of them Qwerty. Hargreaves is a good player and it makes sense to have him in the squad as he can play more than one position and knows the grounds we'll be playing in. Beattie isn't good enough and it's a bold move from Sven but the boy Theo might just frighten a few people. A lad that never played at the top level at club level going to the World Cup with England aged just 17 or whatever he is will raise a few eyebrows among the rest of the nations in there. |

Id get rid of Hargreaves for a start, and replace him, ideally with King, if not, then Scott Parker or another striker. |

One minor change I'd have is Scott Carson out and a striker, preferably Darren Bent in. We don't need a 3rd keeper. |

You're dicing a bit there though in a World Cup with only 2 'keepers. The reasons I would have taken Beattie are a) he's played at a decent level (unlike Walcott) b) he's actually played some games (unlike Walcott) c) he's still an unknown quantity to the opposition and d) he's scored goals in what is a average Premiership side. As for Hargreaves, I can't see knowing the grounds being an advantage, certainly not enough to warrant picking somone of Hargreaves' questionable international class. If you ask any Newcastle fan, they will tell you Scott Parker was about the only outfield player to come out of last season with any credit. |

I rate Hargreaves as better than Parker football wise and Hargreaves gets a lot of unfair stick in my opinion. Walcott's pace would be a threat to any team, he's as fast as Henry and he's unknown and the best players and managers in the Premiership are saying it's a good inclusion. That's good enough for me. I don't think Beattie is good enough, another Kevin Phillips if you ask me. |

Its a great squad, we've got no world-class strikers, so why take these mediocrities. I may have taking out Jenas or Hargreaves and put in Harewood or Fowler, but its a minor quibble. We've a world class midfield, and defence, and hes put some exciting talents into the mix with Lennon, Walcott and Downing Onya Sven |

Personally,I'd have put Darren Bent,or even Dave Kitson(yes) in Walcott's place.But then what do I know?I'm just a woman

Kitson isn't any better than Andy Johnson and neither are good enough to get in the England side for me. Bent would be in the squad but I'm delighted such a brave and bold decision has been made by Sven to bring Walcott in. |
