Phil "The Power" Taylor once again crowned the Premier League Darts Champion after battering Roland Scholten in the final.

Is there a better sportsman in history than Phil Taylor? He's miles and miles ahead of any other competitor in his sport, he's won sooooooooo many titles just shows no let up at all. He's as hungry as ever to win and in fact he's training much harder than ever before to try and get the young Adrian Lewis up towards the standards of Taylor and going off his debut performance in the World title last year, he'll be as good as Taylor.

Absolutely awesome.

If the guy wants it, no-one can beat him. It's only when he loses concentration that anyone else has a chance. The man is awesome, to dominate any sport the way he has is incredible.

I watched a bit of Taylor-Barneveld today, it was alright I spose, still looked a bit like two fat blokes with less personality then John Major playing a pub game though :D

Must admit I've been unable to see most of this years Matchplay but was disappointed to see the future of darts, Adrian Lewis go out to Hamilton.

Taylor is just still unbelievable. When he wants to win a darts tournement there isn't a man on this planet who can stop him. A 13-2 scoreline over former world champ John Part says quite enough.

Come on the Power.

Agreed with those guys but don't forget Sir Steve Redgrave, perhaps the ultimate sportsman of my generation.
I heard Moyles slagging him off the other morning, I nearly had to deposit the radio out of the window.

Redgrave was a fraud. Other than that, I'm with Mozza on Redgrave. I've been on the boating lake at Heaton Park, and I don't remember making a career out of it.

How was Redgrave a fraud?Because he was the only lad in the team(s) not to come through the public school system??Because he was an ordinary boy from a comp who took part in what's normally an elitist sport?Because he's an ambassador for the Thames side state schools, like his own, encouraging the sport to become more mainstream??

What next? You'll be advocating Phil 'Me Glass' Taylor gets an OBE,a lifetime membership of Mensa and Rochdale will win the FA cup.
