English Football Association chairman Lord Triesman has quit after The Mail on Sunday published transcripts of his unknowingly taped musings to his former mistress, Melissa Jacobs about possibly Spain and Russia colluding to bribe World Cup referees. This, of course, comes just two days after Triesman and David Beckham submitted England's bid book for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. So, you know, not the greatest timing.
