Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins is in hospital after an incident on a Lancashire road, according to reports.Wiggins, 32, who also won a gold medal in the time trial at London 2012, is believed to have been involved in a collision with a van in Wrightington.
The Lancashire Evening Post claims the star may have broken several ribs and suffered hand a rib injuries.
The incident is believed to have happened at 6pm on Wednesday evening outside a petrol station.
Garage attendant Yasmin Smith told the paper: "By the time I got there he had moved to a safer place but was still on the ground and he was in a lot of pain.
"He said he thought he had broken his ribs and while a lot of police cars arrived it was about 15 minutes before the ambulance got there by which time he was blue."
Father-of-two Wiggins is known to regularly embark on training rides around the area's rural roads.
