I have just finished reading this. Written by the mother of the little girl that was murdered five years ago she gives a very frank and open account of what happened before Sarah went missing, the search to find her and their life as a family coming to terms with her horrific murder. I felt the book cuts no corners as she is very open about how difficult life was for her and her family (not surprisingly!) and also of her campaign called Sarah's Law. Worth a read.

Oh I nearly picked this up a while back and then wondered if I would find it too upsetting.

So you think it was worth a read?

I wondered if it would be too upsetting milly. it certainly made me look at my own kids and think how unbearable it would be if something like that happened to them but actually I found (imo) it was written very well and some of the more horrific details were left out. I wondered if I was being kind of nosey by reading it if that makes sense but it doesn't make you feel like that at all. Its not a huge book so I would give it a go milly.

I found it compelling and upsetting but it's definately worth reading. There are some parts of it that show human nature at it's best and if possible, my respect for Sara Payne grew even more. She's a woman in a million and yet she's just a normal mother.

Look at it this way, if Sara felt people were intruding she would not have written the book in the first place.

She is a remarkable person.
