Hehe, Jezi - I LOVED French and German at school, but there weren't too many others who agreed...

It's different at uni - people are there to study their main interests. You still get people who aren't motivated by study, but there are loads of others who are. You'll be fine.

I've never studied German but obviously do French, starting Spanish next year as well (S6 is the only time they let you at my school).

Looking forward to it already :D Today however, I have to do a great deal of studying on a subject I am certainly not motivated by. Biology :puke:

Once again you surpass yourself Cameron, please don't become a stand up comedian ()^ . Plus you'll be pleased to know Cameron your face gets everywhere, I was getting on with my work getting rid of some re-directed post, on the back of a magazine, there you were! Promoting Napier Uni. It's kind of a strange name for a Uni do people know where the name came from?

Why would I be pleased to know that Chad? You have a weird view of me, if I may say so.

And I wasn't particularly 'promoting' Napier - that's where I studied and they often interview people who went through their education there.

And you're right Suzanne - it does have a good reputation.

Well you were on the back of a magazine, so it looked like you were promoting it! I was saying about your photograph cause you would want to keep your profile up I would imagine, that was all, so you can keep doing all your fun activities!
:D

It looks like the Uni magazine, that's just a guess.

Alumn is latin for "a former student" (Graduate). Alumni is a former student association who help with fund raising and that sort of thing. The magazine is a good way of keeping past, present and new students up to date with the university news and developments. :D

Napier University is named after John Napier, the Scot who invented logorithms.

And I knew that without having to Google it.

Now by the standards of academia and it's willingness to promote itself by festooning anyone famous with a degree today that's gotta qualify me for a honorary doctorate in useless information.

And to go back on topic, here's a chapter synopsis of Robbie's bio:

Chapter 1: Didn't grow up, bodes well for future
Chapter 2: Joined boy band
Chapter 3: Pretended we were gay
Chapter 4: Pretended we could dance
Chapter 5: Pretended we could sing
Chapter 6: Made Millions! Must remember this formula for solo career
Chapter 7: Left band
Chapter 8: Went to Glastonbury, met some Manc Chancers
Chapter 9: Put on the blubber, still smug
Chapter 10: Employed a struggling songwriter (he can't write, but who cares?)
Chapter 11: Had even more hits as a solo star! Brilliant!
Chapter 12: Lost weight, sh@gged two Spice Girls. Not the two I wanted though.
Chapter 13: Put on weight again (bloody Hell, didn't know the drugs didn't work!)
Chapter 14: Insulted Manc Chancers I met at Glastonbury. The dumber one didn't want to fight, grunted something about an unfair weight advantage...
Chapter 15: Went to America
Chapter 16: America ignored me, they have enough bland dancers in their charts already, came home.
Chapter 17: Sold out Knobworth (Christ, my fellow country folk are thick!)
Chapter 18: Sacked songwriter, wrote own hits
Chapter 19: Hits keep rolling in (these fans really ARE thick!)
Chapter 20: Appeared in remake of Moby Dick (harpoons hurt like hell!)
Chapter 21: Received lifetime achievement award at the Sh!t Awards 2014 for most innane, self-satisfied grin in Pop.
Chapter 22: 2020 Replaced Gordon Brown as Governor of Europeland. Made 'Angels' new anthem. TAKE THAT Beethoven! (sic) Ha ha!
Chapter 23: 2040 Reformed Take That with Gary Borelow, now back at Butlins. Other members couldn't be released by McDonalds, replacement cabinets from IKEA used. Crowd kept asking for us to do "When Will I Be Famous?"
Chapter 24: Wrote my Bio (Christ, I'm one jammy get, how THICK are my fans?)
Chapter 25: Went to pie shop (again) to spend some of my millions.
