Anyone else read this? I just finished it last night and I had a lump in my throat throughout.

It's a true story about a small boy who has an abusive mother and wants to find a family who loves him.

Someone lent me this book and I read it from cover to cover in one sitting. (Couldn't now I spend too much time on here  ) I just dont know how it was allowed to go on that long. You need a strong stomach for some parts of the book but a good recommendation SJC ()^

There are two sequels which are worth reading too. The Lost Boy and a Man named Dave.

Yes he seems a remarkable character. i has done a huge amount to raise the profile of child abuse in America and speaks all over now. he was pretty screwed up for a while. No surprise really

I read them all from cover to cover and back to back.It just beggars belief what someone could do to their child.Found them incredibly sad and moving and not atall comfortable to read but riveting.

Yes, I have read this. It was a good read. It did bring tears to me, to understand why a mother could do such a thing its truely un-believable.
