Has anyone read Christine by Stephen King? Not my fave SK book but it was pretty good. I was rooting for the geek. I wanted him to kill them all! ()^

I also bought Cujo but I haven't had time to start it yet.

i read christine years ago, it was brilliant

i always find myself, when watching or reading horror, hoping that the bratty american kids die as horribly as possible

luckily enough most of them do

I wanted Dennis to die. Stupid git stealing his mates bird. And Leigh was just a bit of a slapper. But it looks like (highlight to read coz it's a spoiler) Christine's going to get them after all. Woohoo!

I read Christine years ago, great book but probably not his best one.
I like most of King's books.

The Tommyknockers is the only one I've read. I dont know why, but I always find it hard work reading Stephen King.

They're usually pretty long. It took me a month to read IT and I think my copy is about 1000 pages (I could be wrong) with tiny print.

Speaking of IT, my favourite ()^ Someone gets killed (or is mentioned for knowing someone who was killed) every other page.

The first one I read was Carrie. I'm just that sort of girl ::lol::

I'm reading Cujo now. It's really good, I like it mroe than Christine but it's still not better than IT.

Cujo's brilliant. I love how (spoiler, highlight if you want to read) Stephen King isn't afraid to kill off the little brat. He survives in the film though, damn Hollywood crap.

A little known fact about Stephen King, having failed to sell Carrie to several publishers he threw it in the bin, his wife took it out and told him that it was good. A lesson to all would be writers. :D

Yeah I heard that. I also heard he was off his head on drugs when he wrote in Cujo (so late 70s - early 80s). I think he must have been when he wrote IT, because I'll never know how he got from male psycho clown dude to female spider alien thing. ${

I throw stuff I write in the bin all the time. Maybe I should stop doing that.

I've nearly finished Misery. I'm just part the bit where Annie (highlight) has chopped off the poor guy's foot and thumb. As someone who writes randomness, I felt the poor guy's pain when she made him burn the only copy of his new book. :eek:
