I have just started The History of Love which is the first one on the list. I picked it up in the library yesterday and I liked the first line from the blurb at the back

''14 year old Alma Singer is try to find a cure for her mothers lonliness'' :( was enough to make me pick up the book there and then!

Oh thanks for that HC. As much as I think Richard and Judy are crap, their book selections are usually pretty good. I'm sure Richard hasn't read anything except for Spot the dog books though.

I agree ellie I can't stand them as a couple I never watch the programme. I guess the books are selected by someone who works on the team but they have often proved worth a read.

well I have finished the first one they suggest 'The History of Love'. it isn't that long but I found the plot a little complicated to follow. I think I would need to read it again to fully grasp it. that said I think there was some lovely parts to and the idea of it was nice. I wouldn' rave about i though. I will definately try some of the others though as I come across them.
