Ok, so I have dutifully moved the discussion to the Books Forum! Let the worshipping begin!

Umm, I've pretty much said what I've got to say, mind you I think after this Mo Hayder book, I'll re-read it, I haven't in a while Mind you, now they've remade the omen, utterly superfluously, maybe they'll make this into a film. |

Well there is apparently a screenplay out there on the web written by Gaiman himself. Spotted a link to it, but didn't have time to actually go and read it. I heard it wasn't very good, but with some work I imagine it might be quite brilliant; especially if they get Terry Gilliam to direct it as originally planned. Oo-er - suddenly realising I'm quite a GO geek! |

Well it took hitchikers abot 26 years to finally get made into a film, so I wouldn't hold my breath. I saw a site about GO the other day where they were putting up ideas for who should play the characters, I think Anathema got Charisma Carpenter. But then most of the actors suggested were someone from Buffy or Star Trek, I think it might have been a bit of a geeky site. |

As a Pratchett fan, who buys his books 2/3 years behind everyone else...would either one of you like to educate me as to what you are talking about? (That Hitch hikers movie was diabolical, even though I'm a great fam of both the radio play and the books) |

Hmmm...not quite how I pictured Anathema! I've seen a few sites suggesting Brad Pitt for Aziraphale and Johnny Depp as Crowley. No offence to either actor, but I don't think they'd be right - especially Brad as the angel! Honestly, I could deal with waiting if they are going to do it properly and get it right. If I wait 26 years and it's awful I'd be incredibly upset! |

(That Hitch hikers movie was diabolical, even though I'm a great fam of both the radio play and the books) Ah, sorry - we started this conversation over in the Games Forum on the celebdaq thread! We're currently talking about the wonderful Good Omens, though I am certainly open to any kind of Pratchett discussion! |

Ah, not read Good Omens. Since I got the Old man into Pratchett I'm sure he has it. It's now on my list of "things to read", straight after i've finished "The World According To Clarkson"...And if you've read that then I'm sure you'll see distant shades of Pratchett and Douglas Adams
