Oh good......love Qs and As.
1) We can love our fellow brothers & sisters, but can dislike certain aspects of their personalities. This being the norm, did you ever pray & ask God to grant you peace, understanding, acceptance & forgiveness for any of the other HMs? If so, who, what & why did you ask this of Him?
I think that should be obvious by a lot of what was shown during the programme, but to give you one example - we were all a bit stirred up over Lisa being brought into the house - there is a story in the Bible about a vineyard owner and his employees. Everybody is paid the same amount at the end of their working day, whether they've done nine hours of work or one. Some didn't think it fair that those who had worked the least time should be paid the same as those who had spent all day in the vineyard. The owner however pointed out that they had agreed the pay before they started, so they shouldn't think it unfair. In addition to the fact that BB can change the rules at any time, that story certainly helped me to be more accepting of the situation.
2) If you were to receive the following statement: "I think you are a fake, dishonest, narrow-minded game player". How would you react, what would you feel & if you felt this was unjust how would you convince the person (at hand) otherwise?
I would wonder about the basis the person had for the statement and probably ask for evidence. We all know that what's reported in the press is pretty wide of the mark often, so that would be no real basis. I would feel it important to discuss why the person felt that way and through such a discussion I would hope to change their point of view. Just like contributing to this forum!

3)You mention reporters can write factually incorrect stories of you. If Jesus was walking on this earth today, how do you think He would react to this situation & what would be His reactions? Honestly, would your actions mirror His?
I think it would be true to say that Jesus had his fair share of misrepresentation! He went among normal people and spoke to them in a normal way at their level - just like he would do today.
4) You're portrayed by the media as being shy, however your actions would seem to directly contradict this. Please explain more(any 'shyness' in your being) & why you think this is so?
***Which actions contradict this do you think?***
Most folk that know me would agree that I'm shy to begin with until I get to know people - and that takes a good while. I think Scottish people in general and particularly Orcadians are pretty reserved.
5) You seem to hold your Christian values very highly, do you or have you ever been accused of hidding behind your faith? If so, please explain.
Nope.
6) Scenario, you woke up one morning & were told your days were numbered. What would you plan if the time slot was:
1 day,
1 week,
1 month, and
1 year
SORRY - this is taking too much thought at the moment!
7) If you had to repeat BB again, but this time had to choose another country to do so, where would that be and why?
I would do it anywhere that I understood the language. I love travelling and meeting people (one of the reasons I applied to Big Brother).
8) If you could change anything of the following, what would it be and why?
Yourself,
Your/ Our homeland
Your set up/ situation
Your past
Lose weight(!)
More honest press and politicians
Need to get my garden sorted - everyone knows I would like to be in a long-term relationship.
Nothing
9) If your brother has put you down as best man, describe the angle you would take with your speech and why?
The importance of family - does that really need qualification?
10) If you were told to spend your money on an astronomy outing, where in outerspace would you go, why and what would you like to achieve/ discover out of it?
The moon - I would love to see the Earth from space. I would love to experience no gravity as well.
11) You die & are taken up to Heaven. Should it be the case that we can communicate as we do on earth, list 5 persons you would want to talk to & what would you ask/ discuss?
Sorry - that's too personal.
12) Have you ever been sick with nerves?
Not physically, no.
13) When was your first snog and what did you make of it?
See 11).
14) What do you understand by the phrase "Turn the other cheek"? Explain situations where you have/ haven't done this & what have been the consequences?
I'm more of a pacifist - I can normally handle things that happen to me quite rationally. On the other hand, if someone else is suffering unjustly, I would be more likely to act.
15) What's your favourite part of the Bible (vs, chapter, book, OT/NT)?
Ps 23. the Amplified Bible has a lovely version which was read at my baptism.
16) What's been your most spiritual moment?
17) Has anyone ever played a prank/ practical joke on you? What was it, when did it happen & what was your reaction?
I love practical jokes - once when I was renovating my house a group of pals made a dummy and laid it outside my back door, looking like a dead person with a ransom note around his neck. It gave me a right shock when I arrived at the house and turned the corner to be faced with a corpse! What a laugh.
18) What's the silliest thing you have ever said/ done?
Too many to mention!
19) You are climbing Mount Killie. BTW, It's a long way up. It will take a number of days to ascend. In that time, who would you most like to join you & why?
For one, I would love Brian Dowling to come along - I've not had the chance to meet him yet but I think he's absolutely hilarious and would love him to come. I would also appreciate Scott's company on the climb - he's also very funny and a great conversationalist. It would be cool to climb with Robbie Williams or Chandler. There's an obvious list of girls who would make excelent climbing buddies too.
20) Do you think you'll continue to live on Orkney or move to the mainland? Either way why?
Apart from the fact that Orkney was recently voted the best place in Britain to live (which we knew all along...) I love it here and it would take a fair bit of persuasion for me to leave. Having said that, I don't mind being away, because the thought of coming back keeps me going - even if being away means months or years.
21) Describe your humour in ten words?
22) They are planning retrying for the world record on 'fastest man (car) on land', a company approached you. Having no or little experience would you accept to be the named driver?
Certainly.
23) As above, only now you are a father (& obviously a husband), to 3 sons & 2 daughters?
Yep.
This should keep you going for a while. Thank you in advance
