GMTV's Dr Hilary Jones and his son have been banned for life from competing in the London Marathon after the pair swapped places.
Dr Jones, 51, let 24-year-old Sebastian run in his place without official permission.
An injured Dr Jones had asked if Sebastian could take his place but had been refused.
But Sebastian ran the race in his place anyway, and finished in three hours and eight minutes.
A Flora London Marathon spokesman said: "Eighty two thousand people applied for this. Despite asking us and us refusing them, he went ahead and gave his entry to his son.
"Both Hilary Jones and his son, Sebastian, will be banned from our events in the future.
"It is an irresponsible thing to do. If someone falls ill it causes us and causes medical people severe difficulties."
