A water company is stepping up its public awareness campaign over the current drought situation in the south east of England.
South East Water has produced a "wanted" poster which calls on people to try to adopt water-saving measures.
The poster also emphasises the need for "three months of daily rainfall" between now and the end of April.
It is targeted at water customers across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire.
Parts of the region have experienced their driest 15-month period since 1921, South East Water said.
The company has a full hosepipe ban in place in Sussex and west Kent.
The poster campaign is aimed at avoiding "more serious water restrictions" in 2006.
South East Water's David Shore said: "This could include applying for a drought order which, if granted, would allow us to introduce further restrictions on water use, such as the watering of golf courses and public parks and gardens."
The poster will be displayed by councils, businesses and other organisations across the South East.
A spokeswoman for South East Water said a similar awareness drive worked well in 2005.
She added the campaign was costing about £1,000, but that "if we did not do anything, we would be criticised for not communicating".
South East Water is working with other companies on ways of ensuring water availability by moving supplies around the region.
