US anger over groom's shooting

Police in New York have provoked outrage after shooting dead an unarmed black bridegroom just hours before his wedding.
Sean Bell died after police fired around 50 rounds at him and his friends after leaving the Club Kalua strip joint in the borough of Queens.
Police, who cannot explain why the shooting occurred, said the group, who had been celebrating the 23-year old's stag party, had rammed a detective's vehicle.
Mr Bell was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Centre shortly after 4am local time. One witness said the men had been heading to a diner for breakfast when the shooting occurred.
Two other members of the stag party, Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield, are in a critical but stable condition at another hospital. A third is said to have fled the scene on foot.
Prominent civil rights activist, the Rev Al Sharpton, who was called to the hospital by Mr Bell's family, said: "This stinks. Something about this story does not smell right."
