A woman has thanked TV soap Hollyoaks for saving her life.

Beth Cordingly claims she could have died due to carbon monoxide poisoning - until Channel 4's teen saga intervened.

She had been ill with the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning, but only realised the extent of the problem thanks to a Hollyoaks plotline.
