SCOTS enjoyed a bit of all white yesterday - as temperatures plummeted across the country.

In the north it fell as low as -7°C, with Ballater in Aberdeenshire covered in a blanket of snow.

It was well below freezing in Glasgow and Ayrshire, but on the east coast the big chill didn't stop surfers taking to the waves at St Andrews.

The Met Office is predicting more snow for higher areas tonight.

Forecaster Helen Chivers said: "It's beginning to feel a lot more like winter."
