THE DAD of a murdered North woman has voiced fury over plans to make a movie about her killing.
Brian Clennell, father of Paula, originally from Berwick in Northumberland, is outraged that a musical telling the story of her murder by Suffolk Strangler Steve Wright is now set to hit the big screen.
Paula, 24, who was born and grew up in the North town, was murdered by Wright while she was living and working as a prostitute in Ipswich in December 2006, in a killing spree which claimed five lives.
Since Wright was jailed for life for the murders, a stage musical has been made about the killings which has proved a sell-out success at the National Theatre in London.
