Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott "exploited power for his own sexual gratification", the diary secretary he had an affair with has said.

Tracey Temple was speaking in an interview with the Mail on Sunday newspaper for which she was paid in excess of £100,000.

Ms Temple said she had gone public to "tell my side of the story".

Mr Prescott has said he regretted the affair and that it had had left wife Pauline "devastated".

I mean i`m sure plenty of powerful people have been led astay by their altemate thinking apendage. but they havent all been aired in the gutter press.

Did the secretary come in to his office the other day and say, hey John sogn this letter and by the way I``m telling the SUN on tuesday that we shagged for 2 years.

I mean he seems to have had warning dosent he.

So this is the ladys pay day, does she see it as owed to her ???

I don't see why these people always sell their story.. I am not interested in what they do in bed, or in the office and the last thing I would do is buy a newspaper to read about it..

It is cheap and low and I would think more of her if she had the dignity to remain silent on the subject.

I do agree with you Hippo ... but why do these people ALWAYS have to sell their story? I think it puts people against them It looks like they are after a quick buck...

I mean she said she wanted to set the record straight, so why not just release a statement explaining her feelings about how she was treated? Why do we have to read all about their sexual exploits, and hear how much she got for talking about it?
