McCartney and the married millionairess
SHOWBIZ EXCLUSIVE: PAUL'S SECRET DATES WITH BEAUTY, 47

Macca, 65, has enjoyed late-night dinners with 47-year-old Nancy Shevell and has been spotted giving her a tender kiss.

He and Nancy, who is married to a lawyer, have spent hours alone in his New York home and have been seen taking quiet walks in the exclusive Hamptons beach resort.

They also talked intimately over breakfast and shared cocktails in quiet bars late at night. At one point Macca embraced Nancy and they kissed in his car. Nancy and husband Bruce Blakeman, who have a teenage son, were friends of Macca and late wife Linda.

Macca and wealthy American beauty Nancy Shevell spent the weekend strolling on the beach, sipping cocktails - and sharing tender kisses.

Sir Paul, 65, flew out to his mansion on New York's Long Island last week after estranged wife Heather appeared on TV and radio to launch a series of bitter attacks on him.

But he quickly managed to put his troubles behind him - and looked happy and relaxed as he spent three idyllic days wining and dining Nancy. Macca and the 47-year-old married mum began their quiet weekend together by enjoying a late-night drink at a restaurant in the exclusive beach resort of East Hampton, where they chatted and sipped cocktails until 3am.

The following afternoon, he visited her at the luxurious home she shares with lawyer husband Bruce Blakeman.

After leaving the house Sir Paul was pictured going into a local lingerie store to buy a gift.

Hours later the pair met up again - this time for dinner at the Mount Fuji Japanese restaurant.

Later that evening Nancy spent nearly two hours at Paul's East Hampton home before making the six-mile journey back to her own house without him.

But the next morning they were together again, sharing breakfast at a cafe before going for a drive and a walk on a windswept beach. Wearing jeans and buttoned black overcoats, the pair looked engrossed in each other's company as they strolled and chatted.

They kissed tenderly in the front seat of Paul's Ford pick-up truck as he dropped her home.

Later she drove back to his home where they spent several more hours alone together.

Paul also had dinner with Nancy on October 9th, at the Blake's hotel in the Hamptons.

The meeting was one of at least six the pair had last month.

A fellow diner said: "She was staying at the hotel and he visited her at least twice.

"They looked very happy together and I noticed she wasn't wearing her wedding ring." Nancy wed Bruce, a commissioner of the New York Port Authority and a partner in a top New York law firm, in 1984.

They have a teenage son, named Arlen.

The couple, renowned among New York socialites as a powerful political team, are both active Republicans and donated money to George Bush's presidential campaign in 2004.

Nancy is vice president of her wealthy family's successful transport firm based in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She used to be known as Nancy Shevell Blakeman but has recently dropped her husband's name.

Nancy and Bruce were good friends of Paul and his late wife Linda. In 1998 Bruce was photographed planting a tree at an American memorial service in honour of Linda.

Heather rants at McCartney over dates

Angry Heather Mills blasted Macca yesterday over his secret dates with a married millionairess - and demanded: "Why didn't you tell me?"

Heather rang Sir Paul, 65, in a temper after the Mirror exclusively revealed he and Nancy Shevell, 47, had been seen kissing in New York.

A friend of Macca's said: "There was a huge row. Heather asked what the hell he thought he was up to."

Macca enjoyed a cosy evening with married millionairess Nancy Shevell in a London hotel after spending the day in his bad-tempered divorce summit with Heather.

The secret rendezvous on October 11 came after hours of wrangling between Sir Paul, Heather and their legal teams as a High Court judge tried in vain to broker a divorce settlement.

Macca, 65, and 47-year-old American Nancy met two nights in a row at Blakes Hotel in Chelsea.

It is not known if he stayed the night. But a friend said: "I don't think they've spent the night together or anything like that. It's quite a romantic relationship. He is enjoying spending time in her company."

The Mirror exclusively revealed yesterday that the ex-Beatle had shared tender kisses with super-rich Nancy during a three-day break in The Hamptons, the wealthy beach resort on Long Island, New York.

Angry Heather, 39, rang Macca yesterday and let rip after learning of his romantic get-togethers.

A friend said: "Heather demanded to know what the hell he was up to.

She was furious because he hadn't told her about Nancy himself.

"She rang him and they had a huge row. She asked him how he thinks their daughter Bea would feel to see her dad and his new girlfriend splashed all over the newspapers."

But the friend claims Macca hit back - saying Heather could not point the finger after spending the past week making lurid public accusations about him.

The mate added: "After her behaviour last week, he told her she was hardly one to talk. He was utterly incredulous that she felt she could take the moral high ground after slagging him off on TV."

Other friends of Macca say he is "completely enthralled" with Nancy, who is legally separated from husband Bruce Blakeman.

One said: "Paul's family are quite shocked he has got so close to Nancy, especially as she is a meat-eater.

"Let's not forget Linda was a vegetarian and Heather is vegan.

But that doesn't seem to be an obstacle. He is enthralled by her.

"She is obviously a very beautiful woman but she is also intelligent and spirited. She is also very rich, so she's not after his money."

Macca's children Stella, James and Mary have nicknamed Nancy "Jackie O" after super-glamorous Jacqueline Onassis, the widow of President John F Kennedy.

The friend added: "The family have known her for years. Nancy and Bruce are old friends of Paul and Linda. She is used to the finer things in life. She changes all the linen in her house once a day because she likes it to look fresh and crisp.

"She is quite different from the kind of women he usually goes for.

"She is pampered and spoiled but feisty. As a former member of one of the biggest bands in the world, he is the one used to being pampered so it's a bit of a turnaround."

Nancy had breast cancer in 1996 - two years before Linda died from the disease. She battled it for 18 months. Speaking of her ordeal, she said at the time: "There is so much confusion when you're desperate and don't know where to turn."

She is also said to have been one of those who warned Macca not to marry Heather. The friend added: "She told him she didn't think Heather was right for him.

"It wasn't because she was after him or anything like that. She knows him well and didn't believe Heather would make him happy."

As Nancy, who has a teenage son, left a Manhattan apartment block last night she said all the attention was "embarrassing".

Sources close to Heather said she had no idea Macca was seeing Nancy - although she suspected he was in a relationship.

One friend said: "Her argument with Paul was the culmination of an incredibly stressful week for her.

"She's been on the TV and had had a lot of bad press as a result.

"She is clashing with Paul on custody issues. And now she finds he's got someone new. She boiled over."

Yesterday Macca refused to talk about Nancy as he returned to his London home. Mr Blakeman, a New York lawyer, also declined to discuss Nancy's weekend with McCartney. But he said: "I am legally separated from her. The separation is amicable and mutual."

Heather's US publicist Michele Blanc denied she was angry with Macca over Nancy.

She added: "Heather spoke to Paul and he swore to her it wasn't true.

"But even if it was, she says that he is a free man and he can do what he wants. She is not distraught."

Heather Mills McCartney going postal on GMTV

I think I'm warming to Heather Mills McCartney. Actually, I was never particularly cold towards her. I just can't get whipped up into a catherine-wheel-eyed mouth-froth about Heather like I can about, say, Jodie Marsh. Or Grace Adams-Short from Big Brother, about whom I spent a short period in 2006 campaigning to be deported to Germany for Gunther von Hagens to use as a Bodyworlds cadaver. Do you remember when I went totally mad during Big Brother 7? Wasn't that great?

Anyway, I've never quite bought the idea that despite Paul McCartney fighting his way through four murky decades of rock n' roll superstardom, somehow he still ended up as a wobbly lipped ingenue ripe for the conning by an evil woman.

Because, OK, Heather is indeed, ahem, a real "character". Aggravating at times. But she's also the patron saint of northern highly strung women with a tendency for exaggeration who love fluffy animals, so I'll always have a tiny glint of empathy for her. Obviously by 8pm tonight I'm sure there'll be a fabulous array of "my opppeeeenion is!" comments calling for my burning on the grass outside White City for even writing this.. You are not allowed to say 'Oh, God, the poor cow". It's forbidden. I don't care.

So anyway…last week she was on GMTV shouting about the way the press treat her. Like how they print dull pictures of her from 25 years ago with whipped cream on her nipples with the headline "FILTHY DIRTY PORN SHOTS UNCOVERED!!" Or when they mock her for dancing a fast-tempo foxtrot on live national TV with one bloody plastic leg. Heather knows all this as she has a big A4 ring binder of grievances that she carries about with her, randomly breaking into screechy crying while mumbling about suicide. You don't want to get stuck with Heather and that ring binder when she's in a talky mood either.

So I don't hate Heather Mills McCartney. And I don't believe much that comes out of either side's gobs when they're in the middle of a divorce, to be honest. But I do believe she's at the end of her tether right now. And if something hideous does wind up happening to her and fingers are pointed at "the media", well, it won't be in my name.

Heather to go it alone in divorce

Heather Mills will represent herself in her divorce battle with Paul McCartney after parting company with lawyers Mishcon de Reya.

The estranged wife of the former Beatle has vowed to argue her own case in a bid to save cash.

It means she will take on Macca's formidable legal team at Payne Hicks Beach, led by Prince Charles' lawyer Fiona Shackleton.

Heather's US publicist said: "Mishcon de Reya did not dump Heather.

"It was agreed between them that she would suspend her representation from the firm due to financial reasons.

"She is perfectly capable of representing herself in court, as she has successfully done on a number of occasions regarding other matters."

Heather and Mishcon de Reya split on Thursday after she appeared on GMTV.

Heather aide blasts Stella

Macca's girl Stella is said to have allowed Heather Mills a paltry 10 per cent discount on her designer clothes.

Heather's publicist Michele Elyzabeth has also told a US newspaper Stella refused to donate bottles of her perfume to a charity gala her stepmum was organising.

Michelle said: "Stella told Heather she'd give her just 10 per cent off at her London boutique. And they were related."

She insisted Heather tried to form a positive relationship with the fashion designer but was stunned by her refusing to give the scent.

Michelle said: "What would that have cost her? Nothing. But we didn't beg. Elizabeth Arden donated."

Heather, in a bitter divorce battle with Sir Paul, recently said Stella had done "some evil, evil things."

Frank Skinner's rant at Heather Mills
By Grant Hodgson Grant.Hodgson@Mgn.Co.Uk

Comic Frank Skinner ridiculed Heather Mills and Sir Paul McCartney during a sell-out gig in Heather's home town.

Skinner said Heather should gather video evidence against the former Beatle to help in her divorce battle by installing a "stump cam" in the remains of her amputated left leg - like the cameras used in cricket.

He asked if anyone believed her claims against her ex - to which some of the 1,800-strong crowd yelled "No!".

He then made a gag comparing Heather, 38, to John Lennon's wife Yoko Ono, who many Beatles fans blame for the break-up of the band.

He said: "You know who hates Heather the most? Yoko Ono. Because Yoko must have been confident that she'd hold on to the title of 'most hated Beatle wife'."

To guffaws of laughter he then hopped across the stage on one leg.

During the two-hour gig at Brighton's Dome theatre - less than a mile from Heather's home in Hove - he laid into Sir Paul, making light of Heather's claims he was abusive.

He said: "If you were in a park in Brighton and a disabled woman said, 'I married this old scouser and he's been knocking me about,' you'd say, 'Let's go and f*****g sort him out now'.

"Heather Mills says it and people say, 'The bitch!'"

He added: "I think Paul knew just was he was doing when he married Heather because I think he thought, look, I'm 65, if I marry a two-legged woman I'll never land a f****** punch." He also joked: "Did you read the bit where she said, 'Paul wouldn't let me use a bedpan at night, so I had to crawl to the toilet'? A few people said to me, 'Oh, that WAS bad...'

"But look at it from Paul's point of view. If you'd written Hey Jude, Let It Be, Fool On The Hill, Can't Buy Me Love... you'd probably think in your twilight years you've earned the right to snuggle up in bed without somebody sh****** in a bedpan."

Johnathan Richard, from Worthing, who was in the audience, said: "Some people were shocked, but I didn't see anyone walk out or anyone disabled."

A spokeswoman for Heather Mills said: "Is that the best material he could come up with? I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy to lose a leg. 'Comedians' are a different species."
