It's terribly sad. :-(

I was thinking, there are a few Londoners in the BB house, I would hope that something like this they let the housemates know ?

Of couse I wouldn't be surprised the BB eviction is cancelled tomorrow, well at least I hope it is.

Went up to london this morning. Were only announcements that there were power failures on the underground and it had been closed. Tried to get a bus but they were just sending them back to the garages at that point and were telling people to go on foot. No one had heard anything about the bombings. A few of us asked one of the bus drivers what was going on and all he would say was "I would get out of central London if I was you." Thankfully managed to get a train back home and only heard then that there had been explosions.

It's just so shocking and very scary. People getting caught up in this tragedy when they are just going about their daily business. Thankfully was late getting up this morning otherwise I would have been near Tavistock Place this morning around the time of the explosion. I just feel so sad for those who weren't so lucky.

I'll bet you were glad that you could walk home, Bunny.

I'm sure it will be nightmare for people who live further away to get home this evening.

All the best, DH.

Horrible, disgusting...i'm in shock.

I just heard back from my best friend, been trying to get in touch since around 1pm...he flew off to Spain this morning, had he not then he would have been there just a few minutes after one of the bombs went off...i've never been so relieved someone went on holiday without telling me!!

Indeed, vagabond. It was a weird sight - no buses on the streets at all!

They are saying on the news just now that there are still a lot of people around London just getting on with their lives and shopping etc. It's just that there aren't many vehicles around.

I suppose things are at their weirdest close to the areas that were attacked.

7/7 - atrocious act on innocent people. My sympathies go out to the families of the dead and to those injured. It has diverted my attention from BB - I hope it doesn't completely divert all our attention from the G8 summit in particular Africa, free trade and global warming to much. ()^
