| Post subject: | UK Election 2005: The (likely) Results |
Quote: Tony Blair will win a historic third term for the UK Labour party, but how many of the registered voters will support him? The national voter turnout will likely fall to 51-53%, with Blair securing a majority of between 90-105 parliamentary seats.
UK results (likely) - a Calrissian prediction -- I am very curious to hear your own 'best guess' about the coming vote. Guess the turnout and the overall majority for Blair, and any other issue you think important. Calrissian: none of the above |

With as big as majority as he got, Blair was very restrained in what he did - although of course, he is essentially a slightly liberal version of Thatcher. --- For sure, I'd sure as hell use all the power I got were I in control - why wouldn't I? Declare a state of emergency, and then you have limitless powers Calrissian: Dreaming of Dictatorship. |

In a result that will send shockwaves all the way to Downing Street Labour managed to retain their deposit for the first time in 8 general elections
