Tuesday April 26, Press Assosiation Saturday morning children's show Ministry of Mayhem has been criticised by watchdogs over a stunt which could encourage children to set their hands on fire. Young viewers saw an actor called "The Doc" fill his hands with bubbles created by pumping methane into a bowl of detergent, then setting the bubbles alight. There was no "Don't try this at home" caution. ITV argued that young viewers would not be able to recreate the stunt, broadcast in January, because they would not have access to a methane gas cylinder. |

Never underestimate the resourcefulness of children - they are usually superior to their older inferior 'guardians'. --- *sounds like a fun show, gotta be better than Swap Shop. arghh. talk about dull saturday morning tv....worst still . 'number 73' - what the hell was that program about? Nevermind its late, time for bed. Calrissian: BB...the clock is ticking. |

we used to stunts worse than that in chemistry class. didn't do any of us harm - eg. we learnt that it's not big nor clever to drink sulphuric acid even in lab conditions. it would go as follows: Method: put the smelly clear stuff in Tom's flask and make him drink it Result: Tom begins foaming at the mouth and his lungs are burning Conclusion: Don't try this one at home |
