Free Wireless Internet for Lahti (Finland)

The City of Lahti has decided that it will begin offering free wireless Internet access. In addition to local residents, students and visitors to the city are expected to become active users of the service.

The city is setting up a wireless local network through which around 85 percent of local residents will be able to access the Internet, day or night, at home or on the move.

There's plenty of free wireless internet in the UK too, not strictly legal tho.

If you ever see )( chalked on a wall or pavement, it's a wireless hotspot and on a laptop with wifi you can surf away to your hearts content for free.

my laptop has a 286 processor and DOS operating system and is an ever present reminder why I never bought another laptop as you cant upgrade the expensive load of rubish :roll:

Of course, any one of the net-kids could easily hack into any one of the usual fools who tend to use wireless. All those credit card numbers can buy an awful lots of mc'donalds and playstation games ::lol::

I read some news also a few weeks ago from Spanish autonomic province called Catalunya (where Barcelona is located) that they support economically in every way that most of the citizens could use Internet and Computers.

Enough to a manuscript a new "Scary Movie" I suppose?
