it just made me think - how much else do governments 'cover up' from us ordinary punters?

I've been wondering the same thing for ten years. I get these periods of time when I think about it a lot and then get a brainsprain because I know I can't get anywhere. So I leave it, and come back to it again later. I seriously believe that goverments do cover things up. I also believe they have good reasons for it because not all people are as sensible and intellegent as all of us (

), people propably wouldn't understand some or the things that need to happen and have to be done. Everyone is always looking after number one, obviously. And because I don't know what secrets are hidden under thousands of passwords and firewalls, I'm not even sure I'd want to know. How would it change my life? Would knowing make it better? As larry says; "Little knowlege is often worse than no knowlege".
That was fascinating though, propably started another period of head scratching for me
