I think that speed camera systems are fine because they will leave time for police to more important work. I like allthought in the summer time police-officers that are riding with their police-motorcycles (I saw one yesterday when I was coming back home from work) their appereance makes people drive their cars more calmly! But in an other way it feels like real Big Brother -is watching you - thing. People has to have a chance to say why they've been driving too fast or who has been driving their cars and then is a time to make decision to whom they're going to give three points and £100. And I wonder why don't they give points to taxi/bus/truck-drivers - we all know that they are driving always too fast (at least over here) and they are professional drivers! |

there was a similar set up in a stretch of roadworks on the M6 near Knutsford recently. No one went over 40mph - even at night and there were no workmen there, when it would seem pointless having such a ridiculously low speed limit. There's one of those illumintaed 'SLOW DOWN' signs on a stretch of road near me and I always see if I can illuminate it

There's one of those illumintaed 'SLOW DOWN' signs on a stretch of road near me and I always see if I can illuminate it Was on that stretch of the M6 today and on Tuesday for the two pre-season friendlies in Gloucestershire this week and it's ridiculous!! 40mph all the bleeding way along it when it's simply unecessary! |
