you're welcome
------------------
a few minor random points.

-takes 90mins to do one orbit
-shuttle usually stays up there for 10-14 days
-ISS only has 2 crew at the moment, its meant to have minimum of 3, and is designed to expand to 6

---
The tracking map, the 3 lines look really weird, but that is because of the Mercator map style. They are of course 'straight line' orbits, but it looks like the ISS goes North East for a bit, and then switches to the south east.

Personally, its a big relief from BB. I can only take so much of missy and Craig.

There is a good update thread on the mission, at the SDC site...

The whole ethos is very much the same as a Sub'. Very crampt, but - for those that can bear it, amazing place to be. They are only 220 miles up - not far at all, but they are almost entirely weighless (not fully), and i

*meanwhile the Chinese are planning their own station sometime within 2-3 yrs. It is hoped that they will get involved to some extent with NASA or ESA in the years ahead.
------

Calrissian: would'nt like to live on a Sub, but could manage ISS for maybe a month.

In someways it's probably easier in space, you don't have to worry about being crushed if you go to deep. It's probably how we learned about how to survive in Space because Sub's really were the first space ships.

It's great because they even have a woman drive it to the air lock. Who said women can't park ;) hat's off to her, I'd be crapping it, trying to park a shuttle  ::lol::

hmm, well, I'm the same with boats. So far I've been okay on planes.

I've heard that many newbie astronauts are ill initially.

*If you have £75,000-125,000 spare, you could probably get a ticket on Branson's spaceship trip within the next 4-6yrs. Costly, but then...only a few hundred have officially ever been 'astronauts' - the threshold is 60miles high.

Calrissian: been no higher than a few miles

woo hoo

It looks like they are gonna be doing some good stuff today. Lots of cargo to move, with an EVA sometime on Saturday :)

Unlike the BB streaming....as ever...this is free, and 'reasonably' okay quality.

Calrissian: cooking
