NEW Zealand police have emailed 3,000 British officers — in a bid to recruit them. They are hoping to poach 100 experienced cops because they cannot find enough at home or in nearby Australia. The similarity between British and New Zealand laws has meant the UK has become a prime hunting ground. The 3,000 who were emailed had all previously expressed interest in emigrating. The starting salary for Kiwi cops is £17,000 compared to £19,000 here. But Brits could be tempted by the lower cost of living, the outdoor lifestyle and fewer serious crimes. theSun |

Yep, britain does appear to have more crimes than it did years ago. When i was at school, the streets seemed okay, whereas now, people just run riot with speeding cars, drugs, and theft or doing houses over. I think if the government took a really stance on crime, then we would probably have safer streets. They should stop these boy racers that go speeding on the roads at night, they are going to end up killing someone with their crazy driving. Laws are to soft over here, which is why we have racism, theft and well, just basically too much crime fullstop. |
