ALL long-distance train operators from Edinburgh Waverley are now taking reservations for Christmas and New Year travel.
Passengers can book seats for GNER and Virgin CrossCountry services ahead of what is the busiest time of the year for railway firms.
Passengers were today urged to book early to get the train they want.
The railway network is closed on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day, except for a few routes. There are services on New Year's Day when a Sunday timetable usually operates.
