People think Brown is a shoe-in, but I agree with Dickin, it just maybe someone else.
Who would you like to see lead the Labour party?

Tony Benn said the New Labour is the smallest party in the UK. Its old Labour that make up most of the party. When the public see this, Labour will be out on their ears.

I'll keep this one short...
except to say that its oh so ironic that all three major parties have become the conservative party of the 1980s.

If I was Thatcher (future historical side note - whom I doubt will be around much longer), she literally destroyed an entire political movement...and had them convert to her ethos. Truly astounding achievement - whether you agree with her or not.

Calrissian: votes 'none of the above'

The power of the media is in many more hands now, and that I welcome..Murdoch et al can do nothing about the rise of blogs and Websites like the Drudge report.

Tony Blair got sucked in by the media, he saw it as neccessary to be elected- which it is, but the hacks turned on him long ago and it'll be the slow death of his premiereship.

Agreed about John Smith!

Where's Fudgie? her dissertation was all about this :D
