I can sort of understand why Pierce Brosnan has made the difficult decision to tell his son he has to sort himself out. One of my sisters is going through a similar situation with her oldest son. My nephew has nearly died because of his addiction and needs to get help real soon or he will end up dead.
Brosnan cuts off troubled son
Pierce Brosnan has cut ties with his troubled adopted son Christopher because he can no longer deal with the pain of his drug demons.
The Irish actor, who adopted his first wife Cassandra's son and his sister when their father died in the mid-1980s, has grown increasingly tired of Christopher's wayward nature.
The 32-year-old has been in an out of rehab in recent years for cocaine abuse and was arrested in June for suspected heroin possession.
Brosnan tells Playboy magazine: "Christopher is still very lost. Shockingly so… I know where he is, but he's having a hard life.
"I can only have strong faith and believe he will recover. He has tested everybody in this family but none more so than himself. He knows how to get out. He doesn't want to.
"It's painful because you shut down. You never completely cut them off, but I have cut Christopher off. I had to say, 'Go, get busy living, or get busy dying...' He has my prayers."
