Fifty firefighters have been tackling a major blaze at a fish factory near Aberdeen Harbour.
A huge plume of black smoke was visible throughout the city as Grampian Fire and Rescue used eight appliances to bring the blaze under control.
Eleven people were safely evacuated from the Joseph Robertson warehouse in Sinclair Road in the Torry area.
Police described the fire as a major incident. Roads in the area have been closed and traffic diversions set up.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at about 0645 GMT on Monday
Sinclair Road was closed at its junction with Crombie Place and the access road to the Torry Battery was also shut as firefighters tackled the blaze.
Station master Brian Crouch said that there had been several workers at the processing plant when the fire broke out but they had been quickly evacuated.
Speaking from the scene, he said: "The fire is contained to the one building and there have been no rescues or reports of any injuries.
"It's too early to say possible causes of the fire at the moment."
Mr Crouch added that the firefighters were expected to remain at the scene for most of the day.
