Saturday, December 10, 2005 The SUN THREE Iraqi asylum seekers were jailed for a gang rape yesterday — after a judge told them a girl’s “snog” on dance floor was not “a licence to defile her”. Judge Michael Heath recommended Sahid Sherwan, 23, Star Ahmad, 33, and Mohedin Amin, 29, be deported after their eight-year sentences. The 25-year-old victim had a “passionate” kiss with one of them at a nightclub, Lincoln Crown Court was told. She was then tricked into getting into their car after mistaking it for a taxi and subjected to an “appalling” sex attack. The judge told the men, from Spalding, Lincs: “The way you behaved was an outrage. “It was a horrid, terrifying, degrading and humiliating experience.” |

You get evil people from every culture. I don't think it was their nationality that is responsible - if they were British they'd still be bad. I know nobody (on here) suggested that it's bcz they're foreign that they are bad but the newspapers certainly (imo) implied it. A lot of foreign men (by no means all of course) think that (by comparison) Western women are more 'flighty' than the strictly religious women from their own culture (have sex before marriage, kiss people they only just met etc) while this may cause them to misread signals it in no way excuses this terrible crime. A rapist is a rapist in any culture and imo they should be deported back to their own country to face a long prison sentence there. The only reason I don't support mandatory life-sentences for rapists (once a rapist always a rapist and a danger to women) is that for truly evil people like that they might have nothing to lose (and less chance of being caught) if they killed the victim. Absolute dirt-bags and I'm so sorry for that poor girl. Terrible
