this pub is RIGHT ACROSS the road from my house
....when we got home last night at 4am there were many police cars and vans blocking the main road...
it is so sad - apparently the lass was a bar manager and she was trying to break up a disturbance

An investigation has been launched after a woman's death during New Year celebrations at an Aberdeen pub. Police were called to the Northern Lights Bar in Great Northern Road at about 0140 GMT on Sunday and discovered the 33-year-old woman. They said the death was being treated as suspicious and have launched an appeal for witnesses. Grampian Police said no details about the woman would be released until next of kin have been informed. Very sad indeed, Felicity. I read that she was a mother of two. When a sudden or violent death occurs in close proximity to us, - or to someone close to us - it really brings home the fragililty and precious nature of life. |
