BRITAIN’S hard-pressed motorists are using a new website to drive down the cost of motoring.
A growing army of car owners are logging on to a new site where a click of the mouse can save them hundreds of pounds a year.
Petrolprices.com is a free site where you enter your postcode to get a list of the day’s cheapest petrol stations in your area. It covers 10,000 stations throughout the UK.
Motorists get maps showing the exact location of each cheap petrol station.
The highest in the UK, at a wallet-busting 99.2p a litre, is Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Cleveland, Teesside, with the postcode TS13 4DY.
And the lowest, at a mere 84.9p per litre, is a forecourt in Aberdeen with the postcode AB22 8HB.
