Sunday, 19 February 2006 BBC A five-year-old girl from Devon had to be rescued by firemen after getting her hair stuck in an electric whisk on Sunday morning. The girl who lives in Mariners Way in Paignton was helping make cakes for her sister's third birthday. Fire Officer Andy Rowse said the incident could have damaged the girl's scalp. "With the help of paramedics we were able to free the blades from the mixer itself," he said. "The girl and her mother were both quite distraught." |

Yes Robzter, it would!! Not quite the same thing but at church once a girl got her hair set on fire by a candle  I was sitting about two rows behind - felt very sorry for her. It was alright though as they stopped it quickly, just a bit singed.
