I voted for I have no oppinion because I'm a loonie. Yes, I'm a loonie, but I'm also a Finn, and thus have no solid oppinion since it doesn't really concern me. I don't believe the royalties have that much power in the nation's business, but since they are a very visible part of the English history, they have a huge publicityvalue.
For us they've mainly produced things to read about in the yellow press, scandals such as Charles and Diana, Charles and Camilla, the relationship between Camilla and the queen, and the whereabouts and doings of the royal teenagers. They seem to be mainly entertainment. I'm sure they must have something to do with relationships between nations and so on, but the picture we're getting through the press doesn't focus on that. It's complicated really, I don't know if they're that important politically, but I'm sure there are other important things they stand for, like tradition and nation's unity. It's the same thing with the swedish royalty; we only hear about the princess' boyfriends and guessing about the wedding, and every now and then king Carl blurts out something that he shouldn't
