| Post subject: | Bride in 25 stone dress |
This was in our local paper last week - just found The Sun's article:
Quote: BRIDE Carly O’Brien wanted a big wedding — so she wore a dress weighing 25 STONE.
But the £25,000 creation, to outdo model Jordan’s, was 8ft WIDE and got STUCK in the church door. It took TWENTY people an hour and a half to heave 16-year-old Carly through and up the aisle followed by her 60FT LONG train. The 30-layer tulle dress, covered with 3,000 Swarovski crystals, diamond head-dress and train meant dad Frank, 40, had to walk in front as there was no room alongside. More... Absoluitely amazing dress, which brought the city to a standstill for about an hour. It took her the best part of a day to get into it and she arrived in a carriage used by Jordan. Poor husband, when asked how he felt at the end of the day, was quoted as saying, "I'm just glad it's all over". I might ask her if I can borrow it next year for when I go cheese-rolling. |

for some reason I clicked on this and was expecting a picture of a 25 stone bride. Quite relieved. |

I think that was another couple, from Liverpool. but their wedding was very similar, similar dress, and the same poncey carriage. |

No, I think you're right, they are gi.. travellers. All that money they must save living rent/mortgage-free is obviously spent on lavish weddings (and 4x4s). And we wonder where our money goes! |

This girl wanted to upstage Jordan, who she idolises.... it took her 9 hours to get dressed and 10 men had to push her down the aisle .... oh dear eh ! Her wedding cost something ridiculous like £40,000 |
