One dies as Virgin train hits car A person has died in an accident involving a Virgin train and a car in Yorkshire. No-one on the train - the 1425 from Plymouth to Edinburgh - was hurt in the derailment at about 2100 on Monday, but the 74 passengers were led to safety. Emergency crews are at the scene, at Copmanthorpe near York, and rail services have been disrupted. The incident was not at a level crossing.
