A chip shop is being investigated after complants that it smelled - and the offending pong was fish and chips!
The owner of the chippy, Steve Morton, was sent a letter by the local council in Wakefield, Yorkshire, but said he thought it was a joke at first.
"I didn't think there was a problem," he said. "If anybody can tell me how to make fish and chips not smell of fish and chips, I'm grateful."
The council admit there's no reason a chip shop shouldn't smell of chips.
But they added they had to do something once a complaint had been made.
"All I know is that we keep everything as clean as possible and to every standard that we should do," said Mr Morton.
